From the school on a Hill - Principal Samuels

1/20/2023

At Zithulele Independent School (ZIS), we believe that learning should be an adventure that is both engaging and inspiring. We take great pride in providing our students with a learning environment that is full of wonder and excitement, where they are encouraged to explore, discover, and create.

As Maya Angelou once said, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away." Here at ZIS, we are proud to say that we offer many moments that take our breath away. Every day, we strive to create those moments for our students - whether it's watching them climb trees, run barefoot through the muddy sand, or engage in lively games with their friends during intervals. These moments of joy and wonder are what make learning at ZIS truly special.

But it's not just about fun and games - our dedicated staff also work tirelessly to create innovative and engaging learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. From interactive lessons that bring history to life, to hands-on science experiments that spark a love of discovery, our teachers are committed to providing our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life.

And the results speak for themselves - our students love to read and ask to do more mathematics, and they are sad when it's time to pack up and go home. They are excited about their education, and that excitement is contagious. It's hard to believe that one can have so much tranquility, peace, and contentment in one place, but that's exactly what we strive to offer our students every day.

At ZIS, your child will truly have moments that will take their breath away. In their educational journey, ZIS students are inspired, challenged, and supported. We are confident that when they do leave the school, they will do so with a lifelong love of learning.
